What's on your workdesk Wednesday?

Mine is a clutter from the monthly crop, still to be put away.  But I had to clear space to make a wedding card.

Next to it is an experiment - I inked the embossing pad before putting it through the Big Shot and this coloured the background, leaving the raised part white.  I quite like the effect but need to practice getting the ink more even.  Any tips?

Next on my workspace is my LSNED page.  I've only done 3 so far!!  I took the pages a long to the crop and managed to prepare some backgrounds, at least that will help in the catch up.

And also taking space is the Log Book I took on holiday.  It was something I planned to start when we have the campervan but as I had prepared the book I took it anyway.  There are a stack of leaflets to add but I plan to keep it simple.  Perhaps that should be my lesson for todays LSNED!

Hope your workspace is full of good things.  Go over to Julia's to see what other's are busy with.

  1. Oh wow wonderful art on your desk.
    Happy crafting.
    Happy WOYWW. Sandy #1

  2. Love what you have done with the embossing folder. Have a happy Wednesday! Mel #51

  3. Neat little cards - and the log book looks fun especially when you pop your leaflets with it. Always nice to look back on.

  4. Absolutely LOVING thos gorgeous colours you're working with... the tealy-blues and earth tones are beautiful.
I have no idea how to solve your problem with the ink... but have to say that I think I prefer the 'uneven' look - it's more tactile looking... and it makes the paper look almost as if it's a material.

Not much help am I?! *lol* sorry!

Anyways... have a wonderful WOYWW! TFS

  5. Oooh, I love that embossing plate idea, how clever. I am also behind on LSNED but that's life I think. Thanks for the peek at your desk.

  6. That white wedding card is perfect in my eyes - simple and elegant, which is something that I'll never be able to achieve, lol!! xx

  7. Looks like you're a dab hand at computer labels and lovely such stuff. My idea of preparing a book like that is to do it as a bunch of 12" pages when I get home - good for you!

  8. That experiment sounds fun ...I might just have to give it a go next time I'm having a play.

  9. Brilliantly prepared travel book, like it very much, along with the North Wales post below.

  10. Sorry I am so late getting by this week but I wanted to pop by and visit your blog to say hello and to see what you are up to! Didn't have the time to post(except about newest Doswell addition) or craft the past two weeks due to being in Virginia visiting with the son's family to see the newest granddaughter born. Definitely a fun time none the less. Hope you have a great week. Vickie aka okienurse

  11. hi Sandie! It has been fun catching up on your news. How did you ink the embossing pad? You try a roller or a sponge to get it even. It is not something I've done but it does look good. Enjoy the campervan. I'm envious!

  12. This is a wonderful card Sandie, and I love the idea of the log book!

  13. oooh great card!! :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the congrats :)
