You can find out more about the exhibition itself in this post so I won't go into detail here.....
except to say that I chose the concertina design as it could be shown with its pages open. Because how else can you show the pages inside a book when it is displayed on a high flat board?
Once the exhibition is over the book will be added to my ever growing collection. I might have cracked how to display the book at the exhibition, I just need to work out how to display or store all my books at home! (Excuse the belly laughing). But I won't dwell on that, because that's another post for another day.
I love this one---the color you chose is gorgeous, and there are so many layers to it---the beautiful background paper, the handwriting, and (of course) the photographs. I also have some handmade books---hidden in a drawer. I should pull them out and find a project for them.
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen. Hand made books are my passion and making them always excites me and gives me huge enjoyment. It's the perfect combination with my love of photography and journaling.
DeleteLovely to see it up close - and I really like the little mark-making one inside!
ReplyDeleteThank you Alexa. I never tire of making hand made books as there are so many structures and ideas.
