Welcome to '5 in 5' where on the 5th of
each month I post 5 photos that I have
taken in 5 minutes.
I arranged to meet a friend for a walk a few days after Christmas and we planned well, as it was a crisp frosty morning with clear blue sky. Perfect for a leisurely stroll and chat.... and for taking photos of course!
As always I took far more than needed or intended but for the photo challenge I was drawn to an area that was heavily covered in frost. I liked the textures and the different patterns that the ice crystals made, although I was disappointed that the images are not as sharp as I hoped for.
I'm not sure if that was due to me or my camera, I know a bad workman blames his tools but I often think my photos are not as
sharp as they used to be. I bought my camera in 2008, it has taken x1000's of photos and it goes in my bag everywhere with me! I am planning a trip to the Shetland Islands in April and I know my camera will be well used, I don't want to be disappointed so
perhaps it is time to think of changing it? Then starts the problem of what kind of camera do I buy? Anyway.... I digress and I need to get back to my photos, so here they are, including one of my friend writing on a seat.
If you are inspired to get out your camera and join in the '5 in 5' photo challenge here is the plan:
1. Choose a location.
2. Have your camera ready.
3. Set a timer for 5 minutes (I use my mobile phone).
4. Take as many photos you can until the time is up.
5. Choose 5 photos to download and share by using the link tool below.
You have until the 25th of the month to add your photos.

beautiful images - I do love the look of frost but we haven't had any so far this winter
ReplyDeleteThe frost is beautiful. But now I', really looking forward to photos of the Shetland Isles, somewhere I'd love to go myself
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos Sandie - hope you are feeling better today x
ReplyDeleteI love the patterns you see after a heavy frost. These are lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteLOVE these photos! I was thinking "maybe I'll join in" then thought it had to be done on the 5th, happy to see I have time. I tend to stay with what I know when purchasing things like cameras since I find learning all over again a bit overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteOh, these are indeed beautiful, Sandie. They do give a lot of close-up detail ... I am still in what-to-do-about-my-camera mode since its demise in November. Finding out and choosing is hard work!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful, Sandie. I've just added a link to join in for the first time.
ReplyDeleteHello Sandie. Thank you for inviting me to offer a link. By chance my latest post has five pictures which were all taken from the same spot. (A Stuck Foot Post.) It isn't exactly the same idea as yours - I didn't specially spend five minutes (though I may have done so by chance - sounds about right!). Nor did I take as many pictures as I could in that time. (Though I suppose I did in the sense that I took all I wanted!) Well . . . hope it's near enough to count. (Say if not.)

Welcome Lucy, and thank you for joining in!!
DeleteTaking five photos from the same spot is a great idea, there are so many different ways of taking part and your link certainly does count!!
I love your frosty photos, we haven't had enough frost this year!
